For nearly four years, we've been on a mission to create something extraordinary - an electric desk that truly addresses the problems people face in their daily work environments. I'm Simon Marcinek, the founder and lead designer behind Lato Desk, and this is the story of how we're changing the way people work.
Beyond Standing Desks
Health was our starting point. Many people buy electric desks for health reasons, but we discovered that most don't understand what true ergonomics means or struggle to build healthy habits.
It's not enough to simply have a desk that moves up and down. The right desk needs to lower to a truly ergonomic height (most desks don't go low enough), remind you to change positions throughout the day, and work seamlessly with proper seating and accessories.
We built Lato Desk to actively support your health journey, not just passively exist in your space.
A Different Approach to Design
When we started Lato Desk, we noticed something troubling - the market was flooded with nearly identical products. Most manufacturers simply attached standard lifting systems to basic tabletops, with little thought given to real user needs or thoughtful design.
We took a different path. Every component of our desk is custom-designed from scratch. We spent thousands of hours observing how people actually work, identifying pain points, and developing unique solutions that set our desks apart.
